It is with pride, appreciation, and a little sadness that we announce the departure Pramod Kerai from the Surface Measurement Systems Service Team, who is leaving for the Sunlit slopes of a long and happy retirement.
When Pramod Kerai first started at Surface Measurement Systems as a Service Engineer, Tony Blair was Prime Minister of the UK, Arsenal had won the Premier League, and Men in Black II was ruling the box office. All these stalwarts of the early 2000's would see their legacies wither and pale by comparison to that of Surface Measurement Systems' longest-serving Principal Service Engineer.
Starting his journey at Surface Measurement Systems on 5th August 2002, Pramod was soon out in the field solo, installing his first DVS-1 at Danone in Paris. Following this, Pramod quickly went on to become a key pillar of the SMS Service Department, bringing his expertise, attention-to-deal, and focus on great service to customers across Europe and as far afield as South Korea and the United States for over 23 years.
With the onset of his well-deserved retirement, Pramod is looking forward spending more time off-the-road with his family, finally having time to do some DIY around the house, and perhaps getting a push bike keep active.
Everyone from Surface Measurement Systems and our Sorption Science community wish Pramod a long and happy retirement, and thank him for his decades of service, professionalism, and expertise.
